Age 59, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 at her home in Whitewater, Wisconsin. April was born in Portage, Wisconsin on April 19, 1955, the daughter of Walter and Joann (Robinson) Alwin, she was the 15th of their 16 children. Even though April was one of the youngest of her siblings, she identified early with being a caretaker and began exploring this role early with her brothers, sisters, and parents. April nurtured this capacity into her working career as a counselor for young adults and opened up her home and her heart as a “second mother” to her nieces and nephews in their times of need. Eventually, her true calling was caring for her mother and father, which she did for nearly 20 years. Her caretaker strengths may have come from her mother but equally, from her father, came the love of finding “the deal”. She loved adventures with her sisters and brothers finding antiques and the next corvette for their summer fun. April was preceded in death by her parents.
