Bobby Dean McAbee, 68, of Wellford, SC, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at his home.

Mr. McAbee was the husband of Sharon McAbee for 44 years and the son of the late James Rufus and Mildred Lenell McAbee.

A veteran of the US Army, he retired from Springs Industries.

Survivors include two daughters, April Michelle Crawford and husband Mike of Inman, Amanda JoAnn Bishop (Robert) of Wellford; three brothers, James R McAbee, Jr. (Virginia), Alfred G. McAbee (Katherine), both of Lyman, and Everett L. McAbee of Inman; three sisters, Jean Keller of Inman, Nancy Brackett (Ronnie) of Campobello, and Sandra Alexander (Marshall) of Lyman; and five grandchildren, Michael Wyatt Crawford, Jr., Mathew Dean Crawford, Jacob Aaron Crawford, Thomas Walker Bishop, and Faith Lee Bishop.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Peggy Bishop and Shirley Hawkins.

Services were held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Stribling Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor David Whitener officiating.

The family received friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday evening, March 13, 2015 at the funeral home.
