Pioneer Lady Called By Death.

Mrs. Asenath Miller of Augusta Is Called: Wife of The Late John B. Miller.

Mrs. Asenath Miller, widow of the late John B. Miller, who lived northeast of Augusta, died late yesterday at the home of her son, Ed Miller, near the city. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. from the Christian church, in this city, with the Rev. Neal Overman officiating.

Asenath Wheeler was born in Marietta, Ohio, December 30, 1839. She moved to Deer Plain, Ill, where she was married to John B. Miller. They came to Kansas in 1877 and homesteaded a place in Pawnee county. In 1881 they came to Butler county and purchased a farm near Augusta.

Mrs. Miller had been ill for more than a year, at the home of her son, Ed Miller. She leaves five sons, John W., E.L., O.W., R., and H.A. Miller, living near here. Five daughters, Nancy Davis, of Harveyville; Annie Forest, Clara Tipton, Addie Bisagno, and Mary Clouse, of Augusta, survive. - Augusta Gazette.
