Mr. Urban was born Nov. 1, 1913 at Dallas, S.D., the son of Frank and Anna (Kocum) Urban. He received his schooling in Colome, S.D. and began farming near Winner, S.D. He married Blanche M. Rada on April 20, 1938 at Colome. The couple farmed near Winner until moving to Springview, in 1946 where he purchased a grocery and tavern. The family came to the Grand Island Community in 1950. Mr. Urban was associated with Donald Co., Ford Packing, and was manager of the Liederkranz before purchasing the Domino Liquor Store. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche, one son, Glenn of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters Mrs. Lindsay (Ann) Michalski of Omaha, Mrs. Robert (Arlene) Hanna, of Lincoln; seven
grandchildren; two half-sisters, Mrs. Jerry Spinar and Mrs. Clifford Russel both of Winner, S.D. He was preceded in death by his parents.
