Ertel, Joyce Marie (Delveaux) age 80, Pound resident entered heaven on April 18, 2014 with her children by her side, after a courageous battle with a very rare cancer (only 350 world wide known cases), she was born to the late John and Violet Delvaux in Oconto Falls August 5, 1933. Joyce will be remembered by all, as being everyone's "Auntie Joyce". She had a fulfilling life going to the cottage, snow birding to Florida for 30 years, many memorable vacations and playing Mrs. Santa For 35 years. Joyce is survived by her loving and devoted son Ernie LaJoice (Kari Makarat), her dedicated daughter and friend Gail LaJoice (Dean McLeod), grandchildren Jeffrey and Andy Hagen (children of Gail LaJoice and Jeff and Tammy Hagen), Tiffany, Charlie and Leah LaJoice, (Children of Chuck LaJoice/deceased), great grandchildren Lycia and Nick LaJoice, Loving sisters Lorraine Dawursk, Beatrice (Edwin) Gusick,dear brothers Galen (Kathy) Delvaux, Richard (Mary) Delvaux, Special sister in laws Jane and Evelyn Delveaux, brother in law Bill Weed, cousins, many nieces and nephews, with special bonds to Laurie Parisey, Shelly Pasdera, and Roger and Bruce Trepanier. She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Edwin Ertel, Son Charles LaJoice, 1st husband Fred LaJoice, sisters Arvella Trepanier, Mavis Weed, brothers Howard and Bernard Delveaux, sister in laws Edna Saleska and Mildred Wing and Parents John and Violet Delvaux. Joyce will be remembered by lifelong girlfriend, Bootsy Lawrence, Gully Murphy and Noni Picaso. Special Thanks to Kari, Aunt Jane for always being there, family visits/prayers, the cancer teams from Green Bay and Wauwatosa Oncology and the Horizon Hospice Staff and thank you, Mom for being the best Mother a son and daughter could have and hope for. Miss you and love you always! Xxoo. Friends may call at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Oconto Friday April 25, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. and Sat from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Oconto Falls Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ernie LaJoice, Jeffreyand Andy Hagen, Bruce Trepanier, Bernie Delvaux, Randy Kohton, alternate Dick Delvaux.
