Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Mae Rankin, 102, Magee (and Laurel) were held on Monday, February 23, 2015, from the Chapel at Reeves Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Olive. Interment was in the Gregory Cemetery, Magee. Reverend Billy L. McSwain of Second Baptist Missionary Church, Laurel, officiated the services. Reeves Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Olive, was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Rankin passed away on February 15, 2015, at South Central Regional Center, Laurel.

She was a member of Goodwater CME Church, Magee. She was an avid reader of the Bible and enjoyed writing; she was an excellent poet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Nancy Emma Rankin, and all of her 13 siblings.

Survivors include her five children, John King, Walter Mason, Marvin Rankin, Elnora Kirk, and Deborah Pugh; 23 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host of friends and other family members.
