Mervin D. Quirin passed away in Salt Lake City at the age of seventy-nine on March 3, 2015.

He was born October 2, 1935 in Brewster, Kansas to Glenn and Dorothy Quirin. He attended East High School.

He married Mihoko on June 16, 1959 in Naha, Okinawa.

He is survived by his son, Frank David Quirin, Oscar, and Sadie.

Mervin was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force, from which he retired after twenty years of service.

Mervin was also retired from Salt Lake County as a Special Deputy in the communications division.

He loved gardening and would spend many hours working on projects and improving his backyard garden.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East). Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services.
