Died at the home of her son, John Robert Dickins, in Panola County, Mississippi. Tombstone indicates that she is buried in Hart-Dickins cemetery beside her husband, William Dickins.

Obituary published in the Whig and Tribune, Jackson, Madison CO, TN on Saturday, December 9, 1871, as follows:
DIED
At the residence of her son, Judge Dickens, in Panola County, Miss., on Wednesday the 29th of November, Mrs. Nancy Dickens, in the 83rd year of her age.
Mrs. Dickens was a resident of this county for forty years, prior to her removal to Mississippi, and was the mother of Mrs. James L. Talbot, of this city. Her remains were buried at her old homestead in this county, nine miles North of this city, on Saturday last.
She was a life-long member of the Methodist church, and died in the full hope of an immortal resurrection.

Nancy wrote her will in Panola CO, MS in April 1870.
