Mrs. Hooper, 87, of Philadelphia, died Friday, December 9, 2016, at Neshoba County General Hospital in Philadelphia.
She was born and reared in Neshoba County and made her home with her husband who was in the armed services for many years. She had made her home in Philadelphia, MS for the past 30 years. Mrs. Hooper was a member of Old Pearl Valley Baptist Church in Neshoba County.
Survivors include her son, Ronald Hooper of West Virginia; one grandchild; and her sister, Ivanell Tingle of Saraland, Alabama.
Mrs. Hooper was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hooper; son, Jerry Hooper; sisters, Ada Duett, Claudia Hill and Marzine Agent; brothers, Raphel Nowell and Carl Nowell; parents, Asberry and Elnora Nowell.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 11, 2016, from 1 p.m. until service time, at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.
