Wanda Elmira Altman was the daughter of Sidney Altman and Lulu Azalee Haynie. She was a music teacher and never married.

Cisco- Wanda Elvira Altman, 76, of Baird, died at 1:30am Sunday at Callahan County Hospital after a lengthy illness. Services will be at 2pm Monday in Holly- Rhyme Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. C.C. Schultz, of the First Methodist Church in Cisco, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Born January 14, 1898, in Hico, she attended school in Lorraine. She attended Grubbs Vocational College in Arlington and received a music degree from Texas Women’s College in Fort Worth. She did graduate work in organ and piano at Southern Methodist University.
She was one of the first public school teachers in Fort Worth. She also taught privately in Arlington and was organist for the First Methodist Church in Arlington for a number of years.
She became ill in 1930 and has been in hospitals and rest homes ever since. For the past several years, she resided at the Golden Holiday Nursing Home in Baird.
Survivors include a brother, F.B. Altman of Abilene; and two sisters, Mrs F.F. Robertson of Eastland and Mrs J.M. Terry of Cisco; and several nieces and nephews.
