Louis Mitchell, 81, passed away Wednesday, March 04, 2015.

Graveside services will be held at 3 PM, Saturday in the Mausoleum Chapel, Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Joel Pitchard officiating. The family will meet friends following the service.

Mr. Mitchell, son of the late Lucius and Mary Frances Perdue Mitchell, was born in Perry and was a graduate of Vienna High School where he lived most of his life. He was an auto parts salesman and was retired from Atkins Auto Parts and Grinstead's Garage. He was a member of West Highland Baptist Church, Macon and attended First Baptist Church, Crestview. Louis was an avid race car enthusiast and loved Southern Gospel Music. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Merri Mitchell, his parents and his sister-in-law, Reba D. Mitchell.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Gloria Rudd Mitchell of Crestview; his daughters, Mindy (Doug) Carswell and Kay (Ronnie) Farris, of Lizella; his brother, Julius Mitchell of Byron; his stepchildren, Jerry Rudd, Tim Rudd, Amy Rice; his grandchildren, Nick (Kaitlyn) Farris, Natalie Farris and Ariele Carswell; his step grandchildren, Nicole Rudd, Kaylee Rudd, Shelby Rudd, Jade Rice; his great grandson, Grayson Farris and his friend, Dee Mitchell.

Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue has charge of arrangements.
