Jess Henry Woodard, 87 passed away March 5, 2015. He was born January 5, 1928 in Bridgeport, Texas to Jesse and Hattie Woodard. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII from 1945-1947. He graduated from Wayland Baptist College and received his Master's degree from Kingsville A & I. Jess married Fredia, the love of his life on June 19, 1951 in Plainview, Texas. Education was a big part of their lives, teaching and coaching in Heart, Texas, Idalou, Texas then moving to Ingleside in 1957 where he held the position of Principal of the Jr. High School from 1958-1985.

He is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Fredia, and son, Robert Woodard.

He is survived by his sons, Rex Woodard (Susan) of Ingleside, Max Lee Woodard (Jamie) of Aransas Pass; daughter in law, Carrie Woodard; 6 grandchildren, Jason, Matthew (Kera), Brandie (Mike), Dustin (Jenna), Tonya (Travis), Tifani (Matt); 15 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Funeral Service conducted by Pastor Dee Blasingame will be at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Palms Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
