Marjorie Mose Anderson, 93, of Litchfield, Illinois, formerly of Shelbyville, Illinois, passed away at 9:07 AM Tuesday Mar. 3, 2015 in Heritage Health in Litchfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday Mar. 7, 2015 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Pastor Kevin Ray officiating.Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of the service on Saturday in the funeral home.Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville.Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the First Christian Church of Shelbyville.On line condolences may be sent to the Family at www.lockartgreenfuneralhome.com
Marge was born October 3, 1921 in Shelbyville, the daughter of Raymond and Hazel Broyles Mose.
She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1939.
Marge married David Ray Anderson on August 25, 1939 in Bethany, Illinois and he preceded her in death on January 7, 1986.
Marge was a bookkeeper for Parr and Shuff Construction Co. and later was hostess for the Morgan House restaurant in Shelbyville.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Shelbyville, Shelby County Extension Homemakers, Women of the Moose, Shelby Country Club Ladies Golf League and was a lifetime member of Eastern Star.
Marge enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, playing bingo and bunko.She was a very caring person and helped care for family members as well as friends in need.
Surviving are her son Gary (Rhonda) Anderson of Scottsdale, Arizona; daughters: Marcia (Ed) Ballard of Shelbyville and Gina (Bill) Sielschott of Litchfield; daughter-in-law Jane Anderson of Mattoon, Illinois; grandchildren: Chris (Amber) Anderson of Henderson, Nevada, Cass Anderson of Phoenix, Arizona, Andrea (Lance) Beery of Casey, Illinois, Scott (Jennifer) Ballard of Houston, Texas, Ryan (Candice) Anderson of Naperville, Illinois, James Reimer andMichael Reimer both ofLitchfield and Alexis Sielschott of Litchfield; step-grandchildren: Rhonda (Randy) Hostetter of Mattoon, Illinois and Jeff (Kim) Cox of Champaign, Illinois; great grandchildren: Peter, Wilson, Sierra, Jackson, Grant, Margo and Ryan Jr.; step-great grandchildren: Holly, Jarrett, Corbin and Kylie.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Bruce Anderson, parents and step-father Roy Copsy.
