Mrs. Wise passed away Monday, March 2, 2015. Born in Maybinton, Newberry County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Harvin Maybin and Nellie Chappell Maybin. She was a graduate of Newberry College and taught at Lexington Elementary School in Lexington, SC. In 1956, she and her husband, Arthur, moved to Asheville, NC where she was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She and Arthur moved to Columbia in 2001 and joined Centennial A.R.P.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Arthur Quinton Wise; daughters, Susan Wise and Lynn Tribble (Dr. Ben Tribble); grandson, Brantley Tribble; and great-granddaughter, Adelaide Lynn Tribble. She is also survived by brothers, Arthur Maybin and Bill Maybin; sisters, Mary Gamble and Nell Howie. She was preceded in death by a sister, Honoria Woodward.
