Clarence Edward “EB” Woods, 55, husband of Lisa Paige (Russell) Woods of 70 Maple Leaf Drive passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Woods was born December 20, 1959 in Rockbridge Baths, a son of the late Clarence E. and Clara J. (Lotts) Woods.
“EB” attended Southside Church of God. He was self-employed in the plumbing and heating business and he enjoyed working on cars, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Woods was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence Eugene Woods, Franklin Woods, Larry Balser and a sister, Charlotte Woods.
Surviving in addition to his wife of twenty-two years, is a son, Trampus Woods and his wife Chris of Staunton; three daughters, Amanda Mason and her husband Eric, Tabatha Chandler and her husband Jason and Ashley Hertter and her husband Jeffery all of Staunton; four brothers, Roger Woods and wife Carolyn of Waynesboro, Lester Woods and wife Carolyn of Goshen, Wilburt Balser and wife Jill of Swoope and Carl Balser of Greenville; two sisters, Betty Harris of Swoope and Judy Peters of Staunton; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; special friends, Millie and Tex Ramsey, Terri and Don Lilly, Johnny Sheppard; and special companion, “Duke”, his golden retriever.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 in the Southside Church of God by Pastor Phillip Morgan and Millie and Tex Ramsey.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Donald Woods, Phil Balser, Ricky Buchanan, Don Lilly, Ronnie Davis and Phillip Hays.
Honorary pallbearers are Don Hoover, Wilburt Balser, Jr., Darrel Maddox and Randy Witzenberger.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
