Clara Jinive (Jackson) Woods, 91, widow of Clarence Edward Woods, of 1410 N. Augusta Street, died Saturday, August 18, 2012, in King's Daughters' Community Health and Rehab Center.

She was born April 13, 1921, in Crib, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Russell N. and Lucy (Nuckles) Lotts Jackson.

Family members include seven sons and five daughters-in-law, Larry and Mary Balser, Wilburt and Jill, Clarence and Lisa Woods, Roger and Carolyn Woods, Franklin Woods, Lester and Carolyn Woods, and Carl "Sonny" Balser; two daughters Betty Harris and Judy M. Peters; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a very special granddaughter and best friend, Frances Harris; and three best friends, Dawn Brown, Pet Stuart, Ann Hartman of Staunton.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Monroe Balser; a daughter, Charlotte E. Balser Woods; two brothers; and a son-in-law.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dennis Sites. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Carl W., Phil, Wilburt K. Balser, Mikle, Trampuse, and Donald Woods.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, great grandsons, and family members.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012, in the funeral home
