THOMAS PEREZ AGUILAR

Thomas Perez Aguilar, the son of the late Manuel Aguilar Sr. and Felipa Perez Aguilar, was born December 21, 1935, in Kenedy, Texas. He entered into eternal rest on February 25, 2015, in Elkhart, Kansas, at the age of 79 years.

Thomas was raised in and near Kenedy, Texas. He grew up on a farm and did farm work for various farmers. He came to the Boise City area in 1963, where he worked pulling broom corn. He later went to work for Behne Construction, working both in Guymon and Boise City. He then started working for Cimarron County as one of the motor grader operators. He worked for the county until his retirement.

Thomas enjoyed his daily visits with his family to drink coffee. He also enjoyed the occasional road trips with family. He also liked spending time at Lake Carl Etling, where he enjoyed fishing.

He was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Boise City, Oklahoma.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Manuel Aguilar Sr and Felipa Perez Aguilar, six brothers, Rey Aguilar, Juan Aguilar, Roy Aguilar, Santos Aguilar, Rosindo Aguilar, and Manuel Aguilar, and two sisters, Norma Aguilar and Audelia Casarez.

Survivors include: five daughters, Rose Marie Aguilar, Elkhart, Kansas, Rose Ann Hiner, Winters, Texas, Mary Louise Aguilar, Elkhart, Kansas, Veronica Tracy Fernandez and husband Michael, Liberal, Kansas, and Tammie Aguilar, Elkhart, Kansas, one brother, Alex Aguilar, Clayton, New Mexico, three sisters, Dominga Gonzalez and husband Guadulpe, Guymon, Oklahoma, Mary Martinez and husband Charles, Guymon, Oklahoma, and Dora Cordona, Amarillo, Texas, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Rosary was held Wednesday, March 4, 2015 with Jenny Alba, doing the Rosary. The funeral service was held March 5th at the St Pauls United Methodist Church in Boise City with Father Mike Wheelahan, officiating. Interment in the Boise City Cemetery
