Truck-car Crash Kills Guymon Man
Texas county recorded its second fatality for the month in a two-vehicle accident which occurred one and a half miles west of Optima on US 54 Tuesday about 9 p.m.

According to investigating Trooper Elmer Hancock of the Hooker Detachment of the OHP, Raymundo Perez Aguilar, 35 of Guymon was killed when he attempted to pass a westbound semi tractor-trailer rig in a no-passing zone on the crest of a hill. As Aguilar's 1968 Buick entered the eastbound lane, the car ran head-on into a 1976 Mack semi tractor-trailer truck driven by William Michael Dorn, 43, of Poynette, Wisconsin.

Aguilar was ejected from his vehicle on impact and was pronounced dead at the scene from massive head, internal and body injuries by Texas County Medical examiner, J. Carl Hallford.

Trooper Hancock was assisted by the Guymon Fire Dept., who was called to the accident in the event of fire. Dorn was not injured in the accident.

Funeral services for Aguilar are pending and will be announced by the Bunch Funeral Home of Guymon.

Aguilar, of 907 North Ellison Street, was born March 22, 1942 in Kennedy, Tex. and was the son of Manuel and Felipa Perez Aguilar.

He was employed by the Calorific Recovery Anaerobic Processing Plant . Survivors include his parents of Guymon, two sons, Johnny Aguilar and Albert Aguilar, and two daughters, Elizabeth Aguilar and Elsie Aguilar, all of Keyes; his grandmother, Mrs. Francisca Trevino of Georgetown Texas., seven brothers, John Aguilar, Roy Aguilar, Santos Aguilar, Roy Aguilar, and Manuel Aguilar, Jr. of Boise City, Alex Aguilar of Guymon and Rosendo Aguilar of Florida. Other survivors include five sisters, Auod Alia Carares of O'Donnel, Tex., Dora Cardona of Boise City, Mary Martinez and Norma Serna of Guymon; and Domenga Gonzales of Boise City, Okla.
