Joseph R. Hamm died Saturday, May 2, 1998, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Born July 12, 1955, in Selmer, Tenn., he was a son of Joseph Eugene Hamm and Elizabeth Smith Hamm. He was the owner of Hamm's Jewelry. Mr. Hamm was a master jeweler.

Survivors besides his parents include a brother, Nelson Hamm of Selmer, Tenn.; a sister, Jacqueline "Jacque" Hamm May of Cherokee, N.C.; and two nieces, Alexandria Hamm and Elizabeth Hamm May.

Chapel services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Home, Selmer, Tenn., with the Rev. Dale Watson officiating. Burial will be in Ramer Cemetery in Ramer, Tenn.

Memorials may be made to Ramer Cemetery Fund, c/o Bonnie Knight, Ramer, Tenn. 38367.
