Paul James Blackston, 95, of Hamilton Street, husband of the late Lydia Anderson Blackston, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2014 surrounded by his family.

Born in Pickens County, a son of the late John Mack and Bettie Cater Blackston, Mr. Blackston retired from Life of Georgia Insurance Company after twenty-two years of service. He was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and treasurer of the Men’s Bible Class.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Seniors of Calvary Hill Baptist Church will serve as Escort of Honor.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or to the charity of one’s choice.

The family is at the home of Carl and Linda Blackston, Easley, SC.
