Mr. Billy Joe "BJ" Higginbotham, age 61, of McKinney, Texas, passed away January 14, 2006, in McKinney. He was born August 18, 1944, in Athens, Alabama, to Jesse Junior and Geneva Mae (Roberts) Higginbotham. On July 17, 1965, he married Laura Bates in McKinney. Mr. Higginbotham was a delivery driver for Northside Pharmacy and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Laura Higginbotham of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Monica Love and husband, Teddy, of McKinney; sons, Doug Higginbotham of McKinney and Jeff Higginbotham and wife, Jo Knight of Ivanhoe, Texas; granddaughters, Amber Higginbotham, Erika Higginbotham, Cheyann Higginbotham and Brook Higginbotham, Sobriety Cooper, Mena Gonzales, Misty Perry and Bridgette Love; great-granddaughter, Avery Sage Groves; brother, Jackie Higginbotham of McKinney; sister, Betty Meeker of McKinney; and several nieces and nephews. His parents and brother, W. C. Higginbotham preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 17, 2006, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Roger Berghauser officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive guests from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
