Ruth was born in Silver Point, Tennessee on April 20, 1930. She was one of nine children born to the late Everett and Lucille Love.

She passed away in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne on February 25, 2015.

Ruth lived in Grant County for most of her life. She attended Marion High School and later worked in shipping and receiving for RCA until her retirement. Ruth married John W. Barlow on September 24, 1973. Mr. Barlow preceded her in death on March 2, 2002. For 25 years Ruth was actively involved in Twin City We Care. She was a member of Eastview Wesleyan Church and was also a member of the GM and RCA sympathy club. In her free time she enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

She is survived by:
3 daughters- Cynthia Ann (Brad Slater) Waggy, Upland; Deborah D. (Terry) Dickerson, Gas City; Vanessa L. Blessing, Gas City;
1 brother- Arnold (Bonnie) Love, Marion;
7 grandchildren; Eric (Lynelle) Waggy, Doug Waggy, Teresa (David Wick) Denner, Brandi (Shad Myers) McDowell, Jarod (Jessica) Myers, Justin (Crystel) Myers, Samara (David) Duff;
18 great-grandchildren;
4 great-great grandchildren

Ruth was also preceded in death by:
2 brothers- J. B. Moss and David Love;
5 sisters- Earlene Anderson, Jearlene Keith, Etta Marie Love, Wilma Dean Robinson and Mary Helmlinger;
3-great grandchildren

Visitation will be held from 3pm-7pm, Sunday, March 1, 2015 in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Gas City Chapel, 200 North 7th Street, Gas City.

The funeral will be held at 2pm, Monday, March 2, 2015 in Eastview Wesleyan Church 414 10th Street, Gas City with Pastor Mark Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Gas City.
