Roman Eugene Vogel, 88, of Yorktown, TX, beloved husband for 39 years to MacKey Vogel, passed away peacefully, by the ones he laughed with, lived for and loved on Friday Feb, 27, 2015. He was born Dec. 12, 1926 in Honey Creek, TX to the late Pete and Cleora Moos Vogel. He served in the US Navy, stationed on 6 different ships and is a life member of the VFW. He worked for Lone Star Brewery for 18 years and worked in the construction industry. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

Roman is survived by his loving wife MacKey Vogel of Yorktown, daughters Jennifer Reber of Weesatche, Sheila Vogel of Kerrville, Lorette Murray of Yorktown, and Geneva Rodriguez of San Antonio, sons Patrick Vogel of San Antonio, Scott Vogel of Arkansas, Ricky Hayles of Joshua, and Joey Hayles of Corpus Christi. He is also survived by his brothers Norbert Vogel, Norwin Vogel and Herman Vogel, and sisters Marilyn Katcsmorak and Vivian Wyatt, 14 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and son Thomas Vogel.

A rosary will be at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Vogel, Joel Jupe, Kurt Johnson, Gary Katscmorak, Andy Wyatt and Tony Roach. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Vogel, Robert Pymrak, Don Ford and Jerry Sharp.
