Junior was a native of Randolph County, retired from Thomasville Furniture Company, and a member of Franklinville Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Brett Long, parents, Elisha Sr. and Mary Gallimore Long, and brothers, John C. Long and Lacy Long.
Survivors: loving wife of 61 years, Flossie Cox Long, daughter, Doris Burrow, and husband Roger, of Asheboro, son, Lawrence Long, and wife Myra, of Ramseur, Brian Long, of Asheboro, sister, Mary Louise Steedman, of Morrow, GA, brothers, Joe Long, and wife Winnie, of Asheboro, Algie Long, and wife Edna, of Ramseur, grandchildren, Brian Long, Jr, and wife Lisa, Brandon Long, Jason Burrow, and wife Shea, Jennifer Macfayden, and husband Lee, Devin Long, Ethan Long, Celina Long, eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
