Alex Haxton, 85, Hillsboro, Ill., died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Hillsboro, Ill. He is survived by the widow, Susan; three daughters, Miss Celia Haxton, Terre Haute; Miss Virginia Haxton and Mrs. Rose May Myer, both of Hillsboro; two sons, Alex Jr., Windsor, Ill., and Thomas, Hillsboro; a brother, David H., Carbon, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Spurr, Carbon, and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Thomas Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday."
