Carol Louise Wilhelm, 85, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away at 9:52 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
Carol was born Sept. 28, 1929, in New Buffalo, Michigan, to the late Thorwald and Mabel (Johnson) Olsen.
She married William Wilhelm who passed away on August 1, 1983.
Surviving are two sons Alan and Russell Wilhelm, both of La Porte; three grandchildren J.J. (Jennifer) Wilhelm, Christopher.
Wilhelm and Jeff (Kelly) Wilhelm; seven great-grandchildren; one sister Nancy Stanage of Naples, Florida; daughter-in-law Dolores Wilhelm of Michigan City; and son-in-law Linford Mutter of Pennsylvania.
Carol is preceded in death by one son Scott Wilhelm; two daughters Kim Wilhelm and Sally Mutter; and one sister Jean.
She retired from American Home Foods after many years of service.
She was a member of Lamb's Chapel and loved to bake, read books and listen to music. She was a diehard Cubs fan to the end and loved playing games, watching movies and beating everyone at Trivial Pursuit. She loved to be around family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
