ROBERT L. "BOB" GREIFZU, JR., 67, of Winnsboro, Texas, died on Saturday, April 16, 2011, in Homeplace Hospice Facility, Tyler, Texas. He battled lung cancer for the last seven years.
A Waynesboro native, he attended St. Andrew Catholic School and Waynesboro High School.
Born April 22, 1943, he was an Air Force veteran and lifetime member of the American Legion. He was a member of the St. Francis Episcopal Church of Winnsboro, Texas.
The son of the late Robert and Geraldine "Gerry" Greifzu of Waynesboro, he is survived by one sister, Sharon Kollman, and one brother, Leonard Greifzu, both of Waynesboro; four children, Kecia Krueger and Robert Rueden, both of Wisconsin, Shannon Greifzu of Maryland and Michael Greifzu of Waynesboro; five grandchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends in the Winnsboro, Texas, area.
Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Boulevard, Tyler, Texas 75701.
Private graveside services will be held in Waynesboro at a later date.
