MARY E. CARTER
Mary E. Carter, 85, Route 2, died at 11:10 p.m. Sunday at the Smith Rest Home in Neosho after a long illness.
She was born Nov. 12, 1887, in Carroll County, Ark., and moved to the Neosho area in 1924. She was married Sept. 3, 1911, to Kirk Carter in Berryville, Ark., who died earlier.
She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Neosho.
She is survived by one son, Harley, Neosho; one daughter; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Freund-Thompson Chapel with the Rev. John Jent officiating. Burial will be in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery under direction of Freund-Thompson chapel.
Friends may call at the funeral home until the funeral hour at which time the casket will be closed.
