Mrs. Nellie Hawkins Cooper, 84, formerly of Spartanburg, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Magnolias Assisted Living. She was the widow of Billy Dean Cooper who died in 2003.

Mrs. Cooper was a native of Spartanburg County and a daughter of the late Joshua and Mattie Dover Hawkins. She was owner of Nellie's Beauty Shop for a number of years. She was a member of Cudd Memorial Baptist Church. Nellie will be remembered for her beautiful smile and sweet personality.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Nelson Sellars of Gaffney; a daughter-in-law: Sylvia T. Cooper of Gastonia, NC; a brother: James Hawkins of Moore, SC; sisters: Josephine Emery of Summerville, SC, Thula Smalley of Chesnee, SC and Mary Brady of Boiling Springs, SC; five
Grandchildren: Rob (Rebecca) Metcalf, Tiffany Jenkins, Chad Cooper, Kent (Mayte) Sellars, and David Sellars, and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son: Keary Cooper, five brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs. Funeral services will follow in the Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Ronnie Norris. Interment will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to: Cudd Memorial Baptist Church, 1301 Boiling Springs Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.

The family will be at the home of Linda Sellars, 123 Farm Wind Road, Gaffney.
