Edyth was born July 16, 1934 in Bountiful. She was the third of five children born to Ulrus and Evelyn McNeil.

She married Marvin Donald Carlson on September 20, 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Edyth and Marv were the parents of three children - Richard M. Carlson, Kelley Ann Carlson, and Kathleen. Edyth was preceded in death by her husband in 1976 and daughter, Kelley, in 1990.

She is affectionately called "Grandma Edyie" by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they were the greatest joy in her life.

Throughout her lifetime, she was an active member of the LDS Church and served diligently in all callings from Primary chorister to Relief Society President.

Friends and family may visit on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Centerville Seventh Ward Chapel, 270 North 300 East, Centerville. Friends and family may gather prior to the services at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
