SPRINGER -- Services for Kevin Ray Kirk, 43, will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2006, in First Southern Baptist Church of Springer with the Rev. Ron Elmore officiating. Interment will follow in Hewitt Cemetery.

Born on Aug. 8, 1962, in Ardmore to Charlie Kirk and Mae Janeice Thompson Kirk, he died on May 14, 2006, in Springer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Philip and Vivian Thompson, and Charles B. and Minnie D. Kirk.

A lifelong resident of this area, he was a truck driver for Sonny's Tank Service and a member of Northwest Baptist Church. He and Melissa Dishman were married on Jan. 6, 1989, in Ardmore.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; daughters, Megan Dickson, and husband Jon, Ardmore, and Laura Kirk, of the home; a son, Jared Kirk, of the home; his mother, Jan Kirk, Ardmore; his father, Charlie Kirk, Ardmore; a sister, Dale Decker, Grand Prairie, Texas; two grandchildren, Hayden and Bailey Dickson; nephews, Brandon Decker, Jason Decker and Jackson Cooper; and many other treasured friends and family.

Bearers will be Eric Roberts, Meche Roberts, Bruce Brightwell, Derrick Peters, Marty Rose, Steven Dishman and Jay Jackson. Honorary bearers are Roy Adcox, Tony Wood, Scott McBride, Randy McQueen, Clay Cheek, James Custard and Jason Morris.
