YORK Martin H. Snell, 80, entered into rest on Monday, June 30, 2014. He was the husband of the late Ruth Knopp Snell. Martin was a self-employed building contractor. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean War from 1950-1953 and 1955-1957. Martin is survived by two daughters, Marlene Goeke of Columbia and Brenda Harris of York Haven; two grandchildren, Nathaniel Smith of York and Amanda Marks of York Haven; and five great-grandchildren, Sierra, Kallie, and Caitlin Smith, and Levi and Colton Marks. He is also survived by two brothers, Clair and Robert Snell, and two sisters, Gloria Overmiller and Betty Mosebrook, all of York. Martin was a loving uncle and friend to many. He will surely be missed. Celebration of Life will be held July 13, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2985 Lewisberry Road, Johnston Park, Manchester Building. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
