Troy W. Whitis, 73, of Paducah died at 3:23 a.m. Saturday at Western Baptist Hospital.
He was a member of Sunny Slope Church of Christ. He was a retired mechanic and a garage owner.
Surviving are two daughters Janet Lynn and husband, Steve of Knoxville, Tenn., and Ronda Savage and husband, David of Rock Hill, S.C.; one son, Greg Whitis and wife, Kim of Paducah; three sisters, LaDonna Nelson and Jane Alton, both of Paducah, and Betty Williams of Hickory; two brothers, Truman Whitis of Mayfield and Jerry Whitis of Metropolis, Ill.; three grandsons, Blake Savage of Rock Hill, Dillon Whitis and Duncan Whitis, both of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Becky McElya Whitis; two sisters; and four brothers. His parents were Herman Whitis and Murrell Brown Whitis.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Harold Wood officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
