Service Is Set Thursday For Mrs. Stella Berry
Funeral services for Mrs. Stella E. Berry will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday in the Mountain View Church of Christ. Mrs. Berry died of a heart attack Monday night at her home southwest of Carnegie. She had been in ill health for a long time.
She was born January 25, 1889, in Lincoln county, Kansas. She moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. (Harvey) Zimmerman, to Hennessy in her early childhood, and later moved to the Pecan community, southwest of Carnegie, where she lived until her marriage.
She was married to Walter H. Berry on November 18, 1906. Three sons and one daughter were born to them. One son, Orville Ivan, preceded her in death, October 15, 1914. He mother, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Mr. and Mrs. Berry spent most of their married life and reared their family on the farm where she died.
Her survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Carl Berry of Carnegie and Doyle Berry of Ralls, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Hall, Lawton; her father, J.H. Zimmerman, Carnegie; one brother, Estil Zimmerman, Mountain View; two sisters, Mrs. Tom Patterson, Shawnee, and Mrs. Clarence Patterson, Norman; four granddaughters and two grandsons.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Amos Zimmerman, J.F. Zimmerman, Dawson Berry, Earnest Patterson, Ralph Patterson and Bobby Berry.
