LES BOWMAN Obituary
Les passed away into the arms of his Lord on February 13th, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in North Dakota on September 29th, 1939, and came to Tacoma in the early 1950's. He was a member of Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church in Gig Harbor, and he dearly loved Pastor Dr. Mark Toone and his church family. Family members who were always foremost in his love, thoughts and prayers include Kari, his wife of 55 years, his cherished daughter Shelli (Bob) Bordeaux, and his dear granddaughter, Evelyn Bordeaux. Other survivors include his mother, Frances, and his siblings Darlene, Joanne and Daryl, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Les graduated from Stadium High School in 1958 and from UPS in 1962. While at UPS he began employment at Weyerhaeuser, which subsequently led to his very successful and fulfilling career at Moore Business Forms. Following his retirement, he formed a printing brokerage at American Business Forms. His strong dedication to service and highly personable nature led to the formation of many warm relationships with his customers and colleagues. And, throughout his life, his gregarious and buoyant nature enabled him to foster close and enduring friendships with a broad social circle.

Les had a great number of life-long interests, including nearly all sports as participant and spectator, traveling especially to Cannon Beach, boating, impeccable fine cars, and a great variety of table games with dear friends. He was an especially avid Husky fan, with a vanity plate on his new CRV to prove it? He and Kari together enjoyed the affiliations with the Daffodilians, the Fircrest Golf and Country Club, and the Tacoma Yacht Club.

Kari wishes to express her appreciation to her family and friends for all of their love and support. At Les' request, there will be no memorial services. To sign his guest book and/or leave condolences and remembrances please go to www.havenrest.com.
