Son of C. H. and Mary (Turner) OSBORN.~ROAD ENGINEER DIES AT HOSPITAL

William OSBORN, 66, of 212 South First East, Provo, state road commission engineer, died at the Utah Valley hospital as a result of a stroke, at 4:30 a.m. today after a five-hour illness.

He was born in Rome, Missouri, February 18, 1880, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William OSBORN.

He received his education in the Missouri schools and came to Utah in 1924, going to work as civil engineer for the state road commission. After coming to Utah he spent 11 years in Cedar City, four years in Richfield, four in Price, and moved to Provo in May 1945.

Mr. OSBORN married Mary Emma McDONALD in Oregon in 1910. She died in 1929. He married Roma FOSTER at Cedar City April 30, 1933.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Cedar City and of the Elks lodge of Price.

Surviving are his widow and one son, William OSBORN Jr. of Los Angeles, California; one daughter, Mrs. T. D. (Jane) WASHBURN of Cedar City; three grandchildren; one brother, M. H. OSBORN of Springfield, Missouri, and two sisters, Mrs. C. B. CHURCH of Medford, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Della Mae HUFFMAN of Smallett, Missouri.

Funeral announcement will be made by the Valley Mortuary.
