CATO PIONEER RESIDENT DIES
Mrs. Catherine Stefl, 82, Resided In Cato Since 1873
Mrs. Catherine Stefl, 82, nee Catherine Reindel, died yesterday afternoon at 4:30 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Peter Gosz, Cato, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9:30 from the St. Joseph's church in Kellnersville. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Stefl was born in the city of Sheboygan February 2, 1854. She moved to Kellnersville as a young woman where she was married to Joseph Stefl in 1873. The couple took up land near Cato and spent several years clearing a farm out of the forest. Mr. Stefl died 28 years ago. Mrs. Stefl has lived with her daughter. Mrs. Gosz, for the past 19 years.

Survivors include one son, Joseph of Mishicot; four daughters, Mrs. Gosz; Mrs. J.P. Reinkin, Grimms; Mrs. A. Nespor, Brillion; Mrs. John Nespor, Reedsville; two sisters, Mrs. Anton Witt of Manitowoc and Mrs. Joseph Muench of Kellnersville; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

The body will lie in state at the Gosz home.
