I have not located a death certificate for her. I did not find an obituary for her in The State. The only clue I have for her parents is a footnote found in the book referenced below: "According to Mrs. Lena Amick, Amick (Malcolm)...Mrs. Sarah Ann Bowers, nee Amick, was half-sister of her own father." Lena Amick's father was Jasper Amick. Jasper's father was Levi J. Amick. Using this information, Sarah can be found on the 1860 US Census for Dutch Fork, Lexington, SC at age 5, enumerated as Sarah S., living with Levi, 38, and Susan B., 27. She was born in Lexington Co. The book also states that Mrs. Lena Amick related that Mrs. Bowers was living in Saluda County with a daughter at the time of her death.
