Clifford E. Davis of Columbus, MS passed away on Friday May 12, 2006 at his residence.
Visitation for Mr. Davis will be Saturday May 13, 2006 from 6 – 9 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS . Funeral services will be at 2 PM Sunday May 14, 2006 at New Covenant Baptist Church, Columbus, MS with Dr. George Myers and Rev Gary Davis officiating. Mrs. Davis will lie in state from 1:30 until 2 PM at the church. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Columbus, MS. Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.
Mr. Davis was born on December 17, 1934 in Lowndes County, Mississippi to the late Joseph Pearl and Willie Annie Chain Davis. He attended New Covenant Baptist Church, a member of the Holiday Ramblers Camping Club and the Lowndes County Sheriffs Mounted Patrol. Mr. Davis was a part owner in Discount Home Center, Columbus, MS and was in the home building supply business for 24 years. He loved traveling, camping, doing things with his grandchildren and family gatherings. Mr. Davis was a very loving and caring person.
