Betty Langford, 82, of Norway Community died Saturday (Aug. 19, 2006) at her residence.
She was born Aug. 15, 1924, in Braxton County, the daughter of the late Peter and Lula Johnson.
Betty is retired from Fairmont Box Company, a member of the Fairmont Eagles and enjoyed spending time at the Marion County Senior Citizens.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Becky Cross of Norway; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry Langford, who is employed as a security guard at Philips Lighting, and his wife Leslie of Fairmont; three brothers, Clarence Johnson of Heaters, Lawrence Johnson of Sutton and Reed Johnson of Ohio; two sisters, Cleoto Bayless of Weston and Lena Martin of Sutton; three grandchildren, Tammy King and her husband John Wayne, Crystal Loudin and her husband John, and India Langford; and five great-grandchildren, Charles A. and Skyler Loudin, Cordell, and Wesley and Becca King.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Melville Nelson Langford; a son-in-law, Charles Wesley Cross; and four brothers and one sister.

Friends and family may call from noon-1 p.m. today at the Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave., Fairmont. Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. D.D. Meighen officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
