Walter Johnson, 85, of Heaters, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, in Braxton Health Care Center, Sutton, after a long illness.

He was born at Dutch, Braxton County, was a farmer and an Air Force veteran of World War II.

Surviving: sisters, Betty Langford of Fairmont, Lena Martin of Sutton, Cleota Bayless of Weston; brothers, James and Lawrence of Sutton, Reed of Loraine, Ohio, Clarence of Napier.

Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home, Flatwoods, with the Rev. Delmas Singleton officiating. Burial will be in Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens.
