Edward Arnold Abbott, 89 of St George, Utah, Duchesne, Utah and Austin, Texas was born on September 3, 1925 in Duchesne, Utah, to John Edward Abbott and Sylvia Jones and passed away on February 13, 2015 in St George, Utah.

He married Bobbie Helen Bass March 26, 1948 in Meridian Texas. She passed away on December 3, 1992.

Arnold graduated from Duchesne High School. After high school he moved to Texas and worked on several ranches, for an oil exploration company, and for the University of Texas at Austin as Heating & Cooling Specialist. After 30 years of service at the University of Texas at Austin, he retired and spent his time doing wood carving and genealogy research. He become a member of Central Texas Woodcarvers and carved many things for family and friends.

Arnold is preceded in death by his parents John and Sylvia Abbott, Sister Elva May VanTassell (Gail) and brother John Norman Abbott and sister-in-law Carrie Abbott.

Arnold is survived by brothers Ward Abbott (Fern), Washington, Utah, Lloyd Abbott, Bountiful, Jay Abbott (Helen), & Terry (Julia) Duchesne. Nieces: Charla Girard & Caren Kennedy Austin, Texas.

A viewing with the family will be at Pine View Mortuary, 566 N. Mall Drive, St George, Utah. A visitation with the family will be at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. Followed by a graveside service at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
