Ada was the daughter of Edward B. and Clara (Reischman) Miller.

Asa was former operator and co-owner of the Modernette Beauty Shop in Barnesville. She worked as a seamstress at Barnesville Manufacturing and Jonathan Logan Sewing Factory. She was a former member of the Beaver Hills Garden Club. She was a catholic by faith and a member of the Barnesville Assumption Church and the Catholic Women's Club. She was an active member of the Noble County Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Atkinson; brother, Charles, Otto Clemence, John, and James Miller; sisters, Mary Miller, Stella (Miller) Biedenbach, Hilda (Miller) Chappell, Robb, Lucille (Miller) Reischman, Marcella Miller, Dorothy Miller, and Frances (Miller) Weilbacher.

Aurviving are her sons, Larry and James Atkinson; sister, Viola (Miller) Lynn; grandchildren, William Atkinson, Anna (Hector) Escobedo, Joel (Candi) Atkinson, Adrienne (Atkinson) Maleski, and Andrea (Shannon) Hayes; great-grandchildren, Gracie and Brady Hayes, Jacob Maleski, and Cole Atkinson.

Services were held at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, Barnesville, Msgr. Mark Froehlich officiating.
