Born in Ballineen, County Cork, Ireland, she was educated in Ireland. She moved to North Cambridge in 1962, where she raised her two daughters.
She loved Irish music and cooking elaborate meals for family and friends.
Mrs. Collette is survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas; two daughters, Ann of Cambridge and Tina Cheplick of San Anselmo, Calif.; two sisters, Peggy O'Mahoney of Knockanady, Ireland, and Eileen Robertson of London, England; three grandsons; and many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrowat Saint Peter's Church, Cambridge.
Burial will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
