Funeral services for LaVerne Bonner Shiflett, 69, of Richmond, will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, December 16, 2006 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Reverend Byron Williamson will officiate the services.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Friday, December 15, 2006 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
LaVerne was born July 6, 1937 in Meridian, Mississippi. She enjoyed needlepoint and cooking. LaVerne often made her own clothing, helped raised livestock and enjoyed traveling. She passed away December 13, 2006 in Richmond, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin E. Shiflett, Sr.; her brothers, Robert Bonner and Pomroy Bonner, and her dog, Susie.
LaVerne is survived by daughters, Carol Shiflett of Richmond, Yolanda Gayle Ballinger of Menden, LA;
sons, Marvin Shiflett, Jr. of Highlands, Jimmy D. Shiflett of The Netherlands, Holland;
Grandchildren, Stephen Shiflett,
