Mary Rachel Clements Draper of Greensboro, Md. passed away on January 24, 2019.

Mary Rachel was born in Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington, VA, on Jan. 26, 1926 to parents, John Wesley and Lillie Belle Clements.

After graduation, she attended Business School in Staunton, VA, where she got her certification for secretarial work. She worked at Woodrow Wilson military hospital in Virginia, and after moving to Maryland in 1947 she worked at Playtex, the Pet Milk Plant in Greensboro, Tri-Gas, Friel’s, and the Caroline Center, Inc.

She lived her life full of love for her Lord, her family, and friends, and everyone loved “Miss Mary”.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; her beloved husband, Bob Draper; her son, John E. Draper; and a great grandson, Tyler Martin.

She is survived by son, Wayne Draper (Carol); daughter, Mary Lou Gleockler (Robert); grandsons: Jeff Draper (Stacey), David Gleockler (Danielle); granddaughters: Lori Martin (Jim), Kelly Draper, Robin Gleockler; 10 precious great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A decades-long member of Greensboro Baptist Church, Mary Rachel served her Church in many capacities, including Sunday School teacher, GA’s/Acteens teacher, Church Clerk, Financial Secretary, Church Secretary, and the Sunshine greeting card ministry. She was active in Bible Study group and the “JOY” fellowship. She has always had a special place in her heart for homeless and prison ministry efforts.
