Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Tuesday, April 30, 1957, page 2:
  Mrs. Anna Adelhardt, 91, formerly of Collinsville, died at 12:45 p.m. Monday at the Rockwood rest home in Troy, where she had been a patient for the past five years. Prior to her confinement in the rest home she had resided in Collinsville for 36 years and at one time had been a Troy area resident.
  The deceased was born Oct. 2, 1865 in Caseyville township. Her husband, John Adelhardt, preceded her in death Jan. 31, 1952.
  Survivors include four sons, Frank of Troy, John of St. Louis, Elmer of Collinsville and Val of Baltimore, Md.; four daughters, Mrs. Edward (Mayme) Frey, Troy, Mrs. John (Louise) Brendel, Troy, Mrs. William (Anna) Rouse, Collinsville and Mrs. Robert (Sophie) Purcell, Washington, Mo.; 17 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
  She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic church and Altar society of Collinsville.
  Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Herbert A. Kassly funeral home in Collinsville until 8:30 a.m. Thursday, when the body will be removed to the church for 9 o'clock mass. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. B.N. Manning, pastor, will officiate.
  Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery there.
