Harvey Hiatt, 73, 308 Park Street, died at 3:10 a.m. today in St. Mary's Hospital following a brief illness
Visitation will be Thursday from 4-9 p.m. at Winterrowd funeral home with services Friday at 11 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery
Hiatt was born July 1, 1905 in Magnolia to P. A. and Nannie (Gaffney) Hiatt. He married Marcella Mortland Oct. 22, 1961 in Streator.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Russell Hiatt, Ashkum; one daughter, Mrs. Harley (Marian Jean) Mayer, Pontiac; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Hiatt, Paris.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
He had resided in Magnolia and Streator most of his life and formerly owned and operated the Streator Hatchery. He was employed for several years by Northtown Furniture and then at the Ace Hardware Store.
Hiatt was a member of the First United Methodist Church and memorials may be directed to the church.
