OBITUARY OF HANS P. ERICKSON

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Hans P. ERICKSEN died at his home early Sunday morning following a two week's illness of influenza. Mr. ERICKSEN was born November 11, 1844 in Denmark, son of Mr. and Mrs. Erick ERICKSEN.

He, with his parents joined the Church in 1863 and came to Utah the same year.

The family settled at Fountain Green. In the spring of 1865, Hans moved to Mount Pleasant where he was married April 04 of that year to Annie MADSEN. The young couple moved to Grand Island, Nebraska in 1866 where they lived until 1881, when they returned to this city.

Mr. ERICKSEN was a carpenter and farmer and in later years a gardener. Surviving are his widow, who is also very ill; two sons, Christian ERICKSEN of Mount Pleasant; Leonard ERICKSEN, Hamer, Idaho; fifteen grandchildren
and eight great-grandchildren.
