William Edwin Pool, age 85, passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, at Barrington Terrace of Fort Myers, Fla.
He was born March 22, 1929, to the late Raymond and Vera (nee James) Pool in Colfax, Iowa.
He worked for the Peoria Journal Star for 31 years in the printing trade.
Mr. Pool served aboard the U.S.S. Sicily during the Korean War.
Survivors include his four children, Jamie Kay (Gerald) Arbogast, Jeffrey Allen (Tracy) Pool, Jerry Lee (Natalie) Pool, and Jodie Beth (Frank) Terol.
Interment will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Ill.
